Meet our Team- Spring 2016
Elizabeth Ebert, Elementary Education
Elizabeth is a senior at UW-Madison with a double major in Elementary Education and English Literature and a certificate in Educational Policy Studies. She is currently teaching in an energetic 1st grade classroom at Schenk Elementary School. Last semester she taught in a 7th and 8th grade combined class at Sennett Middle School. Elizabeth also works at the Madison Children's Museum as an Education Supervisor, a job that keeps her on her toes. When not in school or at work, she can be found playing for the UW-Madison Ultimate Frisbee team, reading, or baking. |
Lauren Fugh, Elementary Education
Lauren is currently a senior at UW - Madison majoring in Elementary Education with a specialization in English/Language Arts and certificate in Educational Policy Studies. She is currently teaching in a wonderfully energetic second grade classroom at Schenk Elementary School and loving every minute of it. Lauren works for the Wisconsin School of Business and is an English tutor for the Madison Friends of International Students (MFIS) organization. In her spare time, she can be found playing soccer, reading on Bascom Hill, and of course, cheering on the Badgers. On Wisconsin! |
Nallely Hernandez, Elementary Education
Nallely is a senior at UW-Madison double majoring in Elementary Education with a content focus on Math as well as a degree in Chinese. Nallely is currently enjoying teaching in a very active second grade classroom at Schenk Elementary. Nallely currently works at Merit Library which offers information and technology services to the School of Education and is also a board member of the Asian American Student Union organization on campus. Outside of school, Nallely enjoys traveling to China, trying new foods, and distressing through coloring. |
Mark Hollendyke, Elementary Education
Mark is a senior at UW-Madison working towards an Elementary Education Major with a content focus in Social Studies. He is currently teaching in a second grade classroom at Schenk Elementary. Outside of the classroom, Mark is a sports fanatic who loves both watching and participating in sports. He hopes to become a high school athletic coach for a basketball, soccer, or tennis team in his future. In addition, Mark is also a mentor for UW-Madison Student Wisconsin Education Association and drives for Uber on the weekends. |
Anna Irmiter, Elementary Education
Anna is a UW-Madison student majoring in Elementary Education with a content focus in English Language Arts and a certificate in Educational Policy Studies. Anna is currently teaching 6th grade science and social studies at Whitehorse Middle School and is really enjoying both her students and the content. In addition, she works at a student advising office on campus and is a member of the Madison chapter of the Wisconsin Education Association. Outside of school she enjoys exploring the outdoors and spending time with family and friends. |
Kelly Zimmermann, Elementary Education
Kelly is currently a senior at UW-Madison double majoring in Elementary Education with a content focus in Dual Math/Science as well as a degree in English-Literature. She is currently teaching in a lively 5th grade classroom at Schenk Elementary School. Kelly is a part of the Madison chapter of the Wisconsin Education Association as well as Student Government on campus and works as a high ropes course counselor as well as drives a school bus for her camp over the summer. Kelly loves being outdoors enjoying the gorgeous midwestern summers with her family and when indoors, she enjoys cooking up a storm in the kitchen and reading. |
Lindsay Stoetzel, Graduate Student Collaborator
E-mail: [email protected] Lindsay is a doctoral student in Curriculum & Instruction focusing on Literacy Studies and Teacher Education. She has a Master's degree in Educational Technology from Michigan State University and a Bachelor's degree in English-Secondary Education from Grand Valley State University. She has worked as a middle school and high school English teacher in southwest Michigan and as a literacy methods instructor and supervisor at UW. Currently, she is working as an Outreach Specialist in the office of Education Outreach & Partnerships at UW. |
